2009 Christmas Eve

Tonight is Christmas Eve.
For me, it is a time for celebration, even tough I'm not a devout Catholic.
Actually I'm a little bit surprised that I feel "Should I go to the Mass?".
But I don't wanna talk about "So why don't you just go to the Mass?", so let just skip that question.

Anyway, I just want to say "Merry Christmas and may God bless us"..
Let's just sing my favorite Christmas carol.
Joy to the world, the Lord is come
Let earth, receive the King
Let every heart prepare His room
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven and nature sing

Have a nice holiday.

*I'll spend my holiday by going into a travel to Saigon. Hope that I could share some interesting story.

My Last Day as 26

This is my last day as 26 years old.

So let's review what has changed.

Appearance?

I'm still having my short hair, sometimes I highlighted my hair.

I've started using skin care and make up. Even I don't want to admit that, sometimes the power of make-up is just so amazing. It can hide my black eyes due to lack of sleep, or just hide acne during my periods.

It could enhance the appearance of my eyes (People said that I have beautiful eyes)

I've bought more clothes than I've bought in the past two years before.

Since my boyfriend (ex actually) has moved out from Jakarta, I have plenty of times for my self. So I start to swim at regular basis, and since last May, I joined a gym.

It surprised me how fast I've become slimmer but healthier only in a few months.

On the first month, I was happy (and still happy actually) with the result. But I stop smiling when I realize that I have to change my clothes. My usual clothes are too big for me. If I don’t want to look ugly, then there is no other way than replacing my old collection.

Even I’ve tried to tight my budget with buying 2nd hand clothes or buying only when there is a big sale, buying still means that I have to spare some money.

Then I thought that if I have to change my clothes, why I don’t use this moment to change my style? So I’ve change my wardrobes to become even more feminine. I started buying dress instead of pant, buying cute tops instead of plain shirts, buying girl bags instead of masculine bags, etc.

Sometimes I still miss my old appearance so I still buy sporty clothes, but with feminine accent.

Sookie Stackhouse Series

Okay....
My first opinion when I first found about this series is "Another vampire series? Is it as any good as Twilight?"

But after I read the first chapter, I realize that I really like this series.
In my opinion, it is really a page turner.
Maybe we will not see this series on the widescreen like Twilight, but I think the story is very entertaining. And still we can enjoy True Blood on the cable TV.

Sookie is an ordinary barmaid at Bon-Temps, Lousiana.
Okay, she is not just an ordinary bar-maid, because she can also read other people's mind.
Her ordinary life has changed after she encountered the supernatural world.
Beginning with the vampire than the shifter, the were, and still there will be another magical creatures that you can imagine.
The best part of this series is the fact that Sookie doesn't madly in love with vampire.
(Oops, I don't want to be a spoiler, so I really suggest you to read this series).

So far, I've read 6 of 9 books (I've read the first three and the last three books) and I really can't wait the rest of the series.

Emma - Jane Austen

Okay... this is my first review...
Emma is my first Jane Austen's book.
I've watch the movie a few years ago, but I can't quite remember the story.
I only remember that the movie was played by Gwyneth Paltrow as Emma.
Emma is a good story, funny and really entertaining.
In my opinion, it is a classical version of what we call now as chicklit genre.
You'll find a story about a young women with her problematic problem.
The plot is quite predictable, but it is still interesting to be followed.

My favorite part from this book is the charade that Mr Elton made.
To: Miss.....
My first displays the wealth and pomp of kings,
Lord of the earth! their luxury and ease.
Another view of man, my second brings,
Behold him there, the monarch of the seas!

But, ah! united, what reserve we have!
Man's boasted power and freedom, all are flown;
Lord of the earh and sea, he bends a slave,
And woman, lovely woman, reigns alone.

Thy Ready wit the word will soon supply,
May its approval beam in that soft eye!

Introduction

Hello....
This is my first blog and I'm quite confused what I would like to share on this blog...
But.... what about a short introduction?
I'm Severine , currently 26 years old, love to eat and really love books...
So... maybe I think I'll explore more about some nice eating places, or about some books that I have read..
Or maybe,I'll share my own thoughts?
I have a friend of mine that asked me once before, whether I've ever tried to write something..
Because he was amazed by the number of books that I've ever read and it is strange if I never tried to write anything...
Honestly, I've tried that before... but I lost my documentations....(I'm not a tidy person :p )
So here I am, try to begin again...
For the blog name.... That's a name of a dark chocolate that I really love when I was a student, because it is delicious and cheap.
The original name is Bittersweet from L'Agie, manufactured at Bandung, but I modified it to b1ttersweet...
Because....
Sometimes people has to taste the bitter side of the story before can taste the sweetness
Anyway, welcome to B1ttersweet Choco World....Hope you'll enjoy it..

*I apologize first for my English... Maybe you'll found some mistakes, but hey, I'm not an English teacher, hehehehehe....
